Available Courses

  • Explore ideas to extend your classroom online!  Research supports it!  I have added online learning to all of my courses using Moodle, creating a "hybrid" classroom.  You can too! approve

  • This is the online extension course of Sue Palmer's keynote presentation of the same title wherein she discusses her journey, philosophy and simple ways for non techie teachers to begin to incorporate tech into the classroom. How can admin help us to do so?  We will talk about that also!  wink

  • For my friends at Hinsdale...Visit this course for additional links and resources!  cool

Good Luck on your tech projects!

  • This course covers some of the new issues we face as educators as a result of the Internet and digital world.  Where is our classroom when we incorporate online activities?  Do you know the copyright rules inthis new age? What are some of the things we can do as educators to teach our students proper online activity and to help keep them safe?

  • Do you know the rules for copyright online?  Do your students know the rules?  Here we explore the basics and some simple rules and tools to use to minimize risk when working with digital images and in online activities.
  • This program will explore the basics of using Web 2.0 tools and resources as well as the basic skills needed to create content online.  We will learn the "ropes" in wikispaces and then be able to apply these techniques to Moodle or other online platforms planned or used by your districts.
  • Start slowly to learn the functionality of Moodle and how to create an online component to your courses, or a virtual AIS for your district.  We cover the building blocks and basic skills needed to get started to build your program.

  • This course demonstrates the options for teacher created podcasts to help student retention and review.  Tools and techniques are also covered.  Sue's "masterycasts" can be seen at her site www.masterymaze.com and used by all! You can create the same tools as well!
